The Shiny Stormer

Postby Big Wes on Mon Jul 26, 2010 1:29 pm

As Mr Carlsberg would say "Probably the Best Stormer in the World!!"

Built new to the highest spec in 2005 by Fluff Brown, '1972' model Y4 250cc AJS Stormer, aka The Shiny Stormer. Bought as a back-up bike it has had little use and everything on it is still 'as new'.
Spec includes :
'Works' tuning
MkII Amal Carb
Alloy airbox (with spare filter)
Underslung chrome exhaust
Stealth Muffler
Double seal conversion on forks
Falcon rear shocks
1” extra padded seat
Renthall bars
Dunlop tyres
the whole bike reads like a rolling catalogue for Fluff's go faster goodies!
Comes with full specialist tools (Clutch compressor, Strap wrench, sprocket puller, circlip expander, timing tool etc.) and spare set of points.
Also included is the stand, imported from Australia, which accommodates the underslung exhaust.
Truly 'ready to race' – for sale as I am retiring.

Price £2400 ovno

Also : 'R' Reg Transit LWB, medium high, 2.5 deisil, 140k miles, MOT to May 2011 (passed with no problems, again!), Tax October 2010. Good tyres, recent new heavy duty batteries plus isolators. Bike ramp included. Towbar fitted but needs new electric socket. Bit of a wreck but reliable, ideal for carting bikes about in. £800

BSA to follow when I can bring myself to write the advert!

Thanks chaps, I will be at Marks Tey for some photos for my last newsletter but I really do need to call it a day. Hopefully the Stormer will find a good home within the Club and be at the front of the CLubmans if not in the Racing Class! Not a decision I wanted to take, I assure you.

Ok, I can understand not being deluged with offers for the Shiny Stormer at the price quoted but I would prefer that it found a home within the Pre65 Club.

Anyone want to make a reasonable offer before it goes off to the land of Fleabay??

I will be at Maylandsea, if only to donate a prize for Adrian's charity raffle (no, not the Shiny Stormer  )!

Sorry to hear of your 'off' Terry - hope you're back on track soon.

Good luck James - I would offer advice but then you'll end up 'racing' with the likes of Terry! Aim higher young man
