Before the final round of the year, the top 5 places of the championships have been placed on the website. They can be found here.
In the overall Pre60 series, Sam Appleton holds a healthy lead over Scott Chappell, but John Bateup, Adrian Dickerson and Steve Chappell are all within touching distance of 2nd place. The Bowman trophy for twin cylinder machines is headed by John Bateup, but Dave Savill and John Cook are still in contention should John suffer any problems. Appleton again holds the lead in the Jim Aim trophy for single cylinder machines over Dave Godley, while Scott and Steve Chappel, alongside Dickerson are fighting it out for the Two Stroke trophy.
The Greeves series sees Ian Webster and Matt Valentine duelling over the overall lead, with ties between Mike Bell and Steve Chappell for 3rd and Des Burton and D Witney for 5th. Webster and Valentine also head up the Griffon class, with Scott Chappel heading Ian Cox for Challenger honours. There is still all to play for in the Hawkstone class however, with only 4 points separating Mike Bell and Steve Chappell in the top 2 places.
The Pre85 sidecar championship is headed by Chris & Dave Tye aboard their Norton Wasp, with Ivan Barker and Graham Eastall 40 points back in 2nd. Wayne Barker & Nat Seeley have made an impressive addition this year and run a fine 3rd in the standings, ahead of Darren Metcalf & Jason Sigourney and Terry Bacon & Steve Nunn who were unlucky to suffer a broken swinging arm while having a great ride last time out at Marks Tey.
The final championship event of the 2011 season takes place at Maylandsea this weekend on October 9th.
